With over 80 years of combined insurance experience, we proudly serve Ames, IA along with Gilbert, Nevada, Huxley, Slater, and the surrounding communities.

Before opening our State Farm Agency in 1995, Mark spent 10 years working in State Farm fire claims, gaining valuable insight into how coverage works when the unexpected happens. He earned his BA in Business Administration from the University of Iowa, interviewed with State Farm on campus, and has been with this organization ever since. That experience continues to shape how our team works one on one with customers to help them prepare for both the good moments and the challenging ones in life.

Mark's wife Nancy is a retired educator and active community volunteer and together enjoy time with their three sons and two grandchildren, Westin and Nina.
